4. My favourite places in Barcelona - Casa Batlló

Casa Batlló is my favourite building designed by the most famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. It was the first thing which I saw in Barcelona when I came there for the very first time. I will never forget this moment. This amazing work of art is just beautiful.

This is the moment when I saw Caso Batlló for the first time!

The building was constructed in 1877 and renovated according to Gaudi's design 27 years later for Batlló family. Josep Batlló I Casanovas was a textile industrialist who owned a few factories in Barcelona. He and his wife asked Gaudi to design a building that no one had ever seen before. The Catalan artist used the opportunity and created something really excepcional. The Catalan name for the building is Casa dels ossos (House of Bones) because the facade of the building has the form of a skull. What I like the most of Casa Batlló is that is decorated with a mosaic of broken ceramic tiles. Thanks to that Casa Batlló has so many colours.

I am very impressed every time I see the building. I think that if you visited Barcelona and you didn't  see Casa Batlló it's like you've never been there.  Fortunately, Casa Battló is situated in the center of Barcelona so it's impossible to miss it.

Believe me, it's really worth too see it ;)

Delta de l'Ebre - The kingdom of birds

In Catalunya there are a lot of places where you can relax and forget about all your problems. In my opinion, the most beautiful one is The Ebro Delta. If you need a rest I recommend you to visit this nature  reserve. It's even more interesting for all of you who love observe nature and, above all, birds. The Ebro Delta is one of the largest  wetland  areas in the western Mediterranean region. Is situated  in the  Province of Tarragona.  A large part of the delta is a  natural park  named  Ebro Delta Natural Park (cat.   Parc Natural del Delta de l'Ebre).  It has 95 breeding species of birds and is also very important for over 300 species of a wide range of transient and overwintering species. The Ebro Delta Park serves as an essential stopover point for large numbers of   migratory   birds and   waterfowl .  When I was there I saw the flock of flamingos for the first time in my life. It was an unforgettable experience. I recommend you to do a short boat trip to be a l

1. My favourite places in Barcelona - Capella de Santa Llúcia

One of the places which are less known in Barcelona is La capella  de Santa Llúcia. It's  a very beautiful place and there are a lot of things which I love. Firstly, the tiles with many floristic patterns. Secondly, the romantic fountain. Thirdly, the palm trees.  If you want to visit Barcelona you can read many useful information about the city in tourist guides. You will find there a large number of places which are worth to see. The problem is that the most famous attractions in Barcelona are full of tourists. You can't visit those places quietly, without noises and in your own rhythm. It's really hard to even buy a ticket! This is why I' ve searched other interesting places which are less known. La Capella de Santa  Llúcia is one of them. It's a very relaxed place which is located close to the Barcelona Cathedral. If you want to rest in a beautiful and silent place La Capella de Santa  Llúcia will be perfect for you.
